For the past seven years, I have worked as the Garden Coordinator at Adelante Spanish Immersion School in Redwood City, California. I provided science and nutrition education, led the after school Garden Club, created and maintained their Garden Program website, and wrote a monthly e-newsletter, "Salad News." Through the grants I wrote and received, I grew the program to include a peer-to-peer based nutrition education program.
My passion for programming goes beyond my professional life. I love coordinating events for my social group such as self-supported marathons, multi-day bicycle trips, and an annual whale count.
